7 Stocks Built to Hold Forever. See the Full List.

Chasing the next hot stock can be exhausting, and it rarely builds wealth the way investors expect. The strongest long-term portfolios are often anchored by durable, blue-chip businesses designed to withstand recessions, inflation and shifting market leadership.

MarketBeat’s free 7 Stocks to Buy and Hold Forever report identifies companies across technology, retail, consumer staples, healthcare, networking, sporting goods and utilities. Each offers its own mix of stability, income, growth and staying power.

These are not speculative names built around the latest headline. They are established businesses selected for investors who would rather own quality companies for years than constantly chase the market.

GM to the Top 1% ☕

A buyer told a rep on a recorded call, "I read your pricing page, watched your demo video, and checked three reviews. Why am I on a call with you?"

The rep started his discovery script anyway. Question one: "So tell me about your current process." The buyer's camera went off about ninety seconds later.

💡 REP-FREE IS A MENU, NOT A VERDICT

Gartner's 2026 research on 646 B2B buyers found that 67% prefer a rep-free experience for at least part of their purchase.

Look at those last five words. At least part. That is not a buyer who wants to remove sellers. That is a buyer who wants to stop paying for the parts of the process that waste their time, like repeating what is already on your website.

The old playbook put the seller at the front door of every stage. Discovery, education, pricing, proof, all through you. The new buyer has an AI assistant, a review site, and a procurement checklist, and they will use those first.

So the competitive question is no longer whether you can answer. It is whether you add something the buyer cannot get alone.

Buyers cannot get internal alignment alone. They cannot get risk reduction, a negotiated outcome, or a credible plan for implementation alone. That is the territory worth your calls.

Give away everything else, quickly, and on purpose.

🔧 THE KEEP AND GIVE MAP

Four steps to redesign your next deal around what only you can do. Takes about 25 minutes.

1. List the stages: Write every step a buyer goes through with you, from first research to signature. Most reps find eight to twelve.

2. Mark the give column: Circle the steps a buyer can do alone, like reading pricing, watching a demo, checking security docs, and comparing options. Put every one of these in a pre-read you can send in advance.

3. Mark the keep column: Circle the steps where you add judgment, like pressure-testing their business case, mapping internal objections, and sequencing the rollout. Those are your calls.

4. Rebuild call one: Send the pre-read 24 hours before the first call and open with, "I assume you've seen the basics. Where does your team disagree?" Spend the entire hour in the keep column.

🎯 THIS WEEK'S HOMEWORK

Build one pre-read page for your most common deal type, with pricing context, a three-minute demo link, and your security answers. Send it to your next two prospects before the call and note how the first ten minutes change.

❓ QUESTION OF THE DAY

If your buyer skipped your first call entirely, what would they miss that they could not get anywhere else?

Reply with your answer. That sentence is your actual value proposition.

See you tomorrow.
