Speak naturally. Send without fixing.

Wispr Flow turns your voice into clean, professional text you can send the moment you stop talking. Not rough transcription you have to clean up. Actual polished text — ready for email, Slack, or any app.

Speak the way you think. Go on tangents. Change your mind mid-sentence. Flow strips the filler, fixes the grammar, and gives you text that reads like you spent five minutes writing it.

89% of messages sent with zero edits. Millions of professionals use Flow daily, including teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay. Works on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.

GM to the Top 1% ☕

Here is the number that should reorganize your whole week. 94% of B2B buying groups rank their preferred vendors before they ever contact sales. And they buy from that Day-1 favorite 77% of the time.

Read that again slowly. Most deals are decided before the first call. By the time you get a meeting, the race is usually already run.

Which means the pipeline you are grinding is mostly a scoreboard, not a playing field. The game happened earlier, somewhere you were not looking.

💡 THE SHORTLIST IS THE PRODUCT. THE DEMO IS JUST DELIVERY.

We were all trained to believe the deal is won in the room. Great discovery, sharp demo, tight close. So that is where reps pour their energy, into performance at the moment of contact.

But the data says the moment of contact is late. If 94% of buyers have already ranked you and 77% buy the one they ranked first, then the decisive work is not the demo. It is whatever put you at the top of that list before the buyer raised their hand.

That work is unglamorous and it does not show up in your CRM. It is the point of view you published that a stranger read six months ago. It is the peer who vouched for you in a Slack channel you will never see. It is the reputation that arrived in the room before you did.

Here is the reframe. Stop treating the shortlist as the result of your selling. It is the cause of it. The reps who win are not better in the room. They walk into the room already ranked first.

🔧 THE PRE-DEAL RANKING SYSTEM

Everything that earns the Day-1 spot happens before a deal exists. Build these on purpose.

1. Bank reputation with no ask attached: Help people in your category with zero expectation of return. The favor you give this quarter is the ranking you inherit next year.

2. Publish a real point of view: Buyers research for hours before they call. Be the take they remember. A clear opinion outranks a polished pitch every time.

3. Manufacture referenceability: For every closed deal, ask "who in their network would vouch for me now." A warm vouch is worth more than a cold sequence, because it enters you already ranked.

4. Audit your list position: For your top ten target accounts, honestly answer "if they made a shortlist today, am I on it." If the answer is no, that is your real pipeline problem, not your follow-up cadence.

🎯 THIS WEEK'S HOMEWORK

Pick your three biggest target accounts. For each, write down the specific reason you would already be on their shortlist if they started buying tomorrow. If you cannot name one, you have found the account where you are working the meeting instead of earning the ranking. Fix the ranking first.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

On your top accounts, are you the Day-1 favorite, or are you hoping to win in the room?

Reply with the one account where you honestly do not know. That uncertainty is the work this week.

See you tomorrow.

P.S. The reps who land on the shortlist show up with research the buyer cannot get from a search box. I packaged the exact prompts I use to research an account that deeply, 500 of them, the intro asks, the point-of-view builders, the account-mapping sequences. It is 27 dollars: https://www.edwardgorbis.com/products/500-ai-powered-prompts-for-elite-sales-professionals
