GM to the Top 1% ☕

Sunday is the day I stop selling and start counting what actually held.

This week I kept circling one idea from different angles. The machine now does the easy 90% of the job for free. And the moment that happened, the hard 10% stopped being overhead and became the entire premium.

67% of buyers now say they would rather buy with no rep at all. Read that not as a threat but as a filter. The ones who still want a human in the room are choosing one on purpose. The whole job is becoming the reason they choose.

💡 THE HUMAN 10% IS EVERYTHING WE ALMOST AUTOMATED AWAY

Look back at the week and it is one throughline. Monday was coverage, the relationships a model cannot manufacture. Tuesday was the deal that died on one thread, because a machine can send the follow up but cannot be the second door. Wednesday was governance, being the person who has watched a rollout break and knows how to prevent it. Thursday was deployment, the judgment even OpenAI paid 4 billion dollars to go buy in human form. Friday was the prompt, where the craft quietly moved to. Saturday was the long cycle, won by attention, not speed.

None of that is information. The buyer has all the information. All of it is judgment, coverage, and trust. The exact things we spent two years trying to automate are the things that now carry the entire value of a human seller.

That should feel less like a threat and more like a return to the actual job. For a while, the industry confused activity with selling and information with value. The machine took both of those off the table. What is left is the part that was always the real work. Understand the room. Cover it. Read it. Tell them the true thing no tool would surface.

The 90% got cheap. Go be worth the 10%.

🔧 THE SUNDAY AUDIT

Before the week starts, run one honest pass on your pipeline.

1. Where am I information, not judgment: Find the deal where all you have offered is stuff the buyer could Google. That is the deal at risk.

2. Where am I single-threaded: One relationship is one point of failure. Mark it and fix it Monday.

3. Where am I selling speed, not coverage: If you are chasing a long deal instead of widening it, you are optimizing the wrong thing.

4. Where am I the reason: Name the one deal where the buyer would genuinely rather have you than a rep-free purchase. Do more of whatever earned that.

🎯 THIS WEEK'S HOMEWORK

Pick the one deal where you are currently just a slower search engine, and decide the single human thing you will bring this week that no tool could. Coverage, a hard truth, a governance insight, a second door. Bring it Monday.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

On your best deal, would the buyer still choose you if buying with no rep were just as easy?

Reply with yes or no and one reason. I read every one.

See you tomorrow.

P.S. If this week landed, the full system behind it lives in the AI-Native Sales Leader course. It is how to run enterprise deals when the machine does the 90%, coverage, governance, deployment, judgment, built for the seller who wants to be the irreplaceable 10%. It is 599 dollars: https://maven.com/edward-gorbis/the-ai-native-sales-leader
