Headline: Your marketing stack reports to one place now.
Your media buyer opens Slack at 8am. There's already a cross-platform brief in #growth: Google Ads spend vs. ROAS, Meta CPA by campaign, Stripe revenue by channel. Viktor posted it at 6am. Nobody asked for it.
Same colleague caught a spend spike overnight on your brand campaign. Flagged it before anyone logged in. The problem was handled before the first standup.
Your strategist reviews trends. Your account manager checks attribution. Same Slack channel. Same colleague. Before anyone's first coffee.
Google Ads, Meta, Stripe. One message. No Looker. No Data Studio. No dashboard tab left open since Tuesday.

August 2, 2026. That's the EU AI Act Article 50 enforcement date.
If any part of your sales interaction is AI-assisted, and you have European buyers, disclosure is no longer optional. It is required by law.
Most reps I talk to are treating this as a compliance problem. Something to hand to legal. Something to add to the boilerplate. Something to handle later.
The operators I respect most are treating it as a positioning advantage. Here's the difference.
The rep who buries the disclosure in the terms of service is still compliant. But the rep who opens the call by saying "I use AI to research your company before every conversation, so I can make the best use of your time" is not just compliant. They're signaling competence, preparation, and honesty before a single product word is spoken.
💡 HOW THE BEST REPS ARE USING DISCLOSURE AS A TRUST SIGNAL
Here's the pattern I've seen work consistently over the last six months.
Top performers in enterprise sales are proactively disclosing AI use in their pre-call process. Not because compliance requires it yet. Because it opens a conversation that almost always ends in their favor.
The script goes roughly like this: "Before we get into it, I want to be transparent about how I prepared for this call. I used AI to research your company, flag recent news, and surface a few questions I wouldn't have thought to ask otherwise. It took me about 10 minutes. I want you to have the benefit of that research upfront rather than burning your time getting me caught up."
Buyers consistently respond one of two ways. Either they say "that's interesting, what did you find?" which is a discovery gift. Or they say "I appreciate that, I do the same thing before vendor calls," which opens a peer-level conversation about how both sides are using AI. Either outcome moves the deal forward.
Disclosure is the new credibility signal. The reps who figure this out 57 days early are going to own a competitive advantage that compliance eventually mandates for everyone.
🔧 THE 3-PART AI DISCLOSURE FRAMEWORK FOR SALES CALLS
Use this starting now. Not August 2.
1. Pre-call transparency statement (30 seconds): At the top of your discovery call, briefly name that you used AI in your prep. One sentence. Keep it casual. "I used AI to pull some context before this call so I'm not wasting your time on basics." This alone sets you apart from 90% of reps.
2. Share one insight from your AI research: After the disclosure, give them one piece of the research. "One thing I noticed is that your company recently [relevant trigger]. I wanted to ask you how that's affecting [relevant pain]." This proves the disclosure was true and immediately adds value.
3. Ask if they use AI in their buying process: In 2026, most enterprise buyers do. The answer opens a conversation about shared tools, shared frameworks, and shared language that accelerates trust faster than any feature demo can.
🎯 THIS WEEK'S HOMEWORK
Write your AI disclosure statement right now. One sentence. Test it on your next three calls this week, before the EU requires you to. Track how buyers respond. I would bet you get more engagement, not less.
❓ QUESTION OF THE DAY
Have you ever told a buyer you used AI to prepare for the call? What happened?
This is a real research question. Reply and tell me. I'm tracking how buyers are responding across different industries.
See you tomorrow.
