Two years ago, I started tracking something.
Every week, I noted which tasks in my sales workflow were eating time without adding insight.
Account research before a first call. First drafts of follow-up emails. Pulling together QBR data. Building out org charts from LinkedIn before a multi-stakeholder deal.

Step 1: Pre-call research in 8 minutes. Prompt: "Research [company name]. Summarize their recent earnings, major product announcements, leadership changes, and publicly stated strategic priorities in the last 90 days. Then give me three questions I should ask their VP of Sales in a discovery call based on this context."
What used to take 45 minutes of browser tabs now takes 8 minutes and produces better context.
Step 2: Discovery call follow-up in 4 minutes. Prompt: "Here are my notes from a discovery call with [prospect name] at [company]. Write a follow-up email that: 1) Recaps their top three pain points in their language. 2) Connects each pain point to one specific capability. 3) Proposes a clear next step. Tone: direct, confident, not salesy. Under 150 words."
The first draft is 85% there. I edit for voice and specifics. Total time: 4 minutes.
Step 3: Multi-stakeholder deal prep. Prompt: "I'm working a deal at [company] with six stakeholders. Here are their names, titles, and what each one has said they care about most [paste notes]. Identify the likely power dynamics, flag any potential blockers, and suggest the order in which I should be engaging them over the next two weeks."
No consultant. No manager review. Just a clear stakeholder map in minutes.
Step 4: The pre-meeting email. You already got this one Wednesday. Three parts. The night before. Every deal over $1M.
